This is a poetry video dedicated to Gamblin Artist's Colors Alizarin Crimson and their new line Alizarin Permanent. It was inspired by Gabriele Tinti's poetry from various artworks' point of view. In this case, the poetry is written from the colors' point of view. Alizarin Crimson is growing old (the source of this paint is finite) and is being replaced by the newer, younger, model.

I spend a lot of my time playing bongos and dressing as a beatnik named Ray. This is a beat poetry video I created as a continuation of the colors exploration. I stopped at the primary colors, because I knew Gamblin's extensive product lines would exhaust me.

This was my attempt at a stop motion short film. Clearly, I love stop motion. It's about an aging ballet dancer and his assistant who is in love with him.

Speaking of animation, here are some fun little relics of animations I worked on. The "Boat Tank" (2012) was my first CG animation. I animated "Hamburger Man" in 2019, the sneeze and embarassment of the orange monster in "Spring Cleaning" (2012), and the "Rabbit in a Hat" in 2013 for a projection inside of a steamer trunk as part of an art piece.

This is a bizarre Thanksgiving recipe video I did with the addition of some practical FX including a stop motion faun named Gene. It's about the Cornucopia and Spanikopita. I faced a lot of bizarre challenges with this project. I had to build a small apartment in my wall. I had to record dialogue and shoot a small stop motion from several angles, then apply trick camera angles.

Last year I built a character costume and turned my yard into an old timey cartoon wonderland. Here is the featured bat mascot I built to serve as host.

This is Adam. He's a lovely actor and his monologue that I filmed was part of a theater/film crossover project at Cornish College of the Arts.

TRIGGER WARNING: Sexist Jokes about the shoddy sex ed system in the 50s. This film, Fatherhood, was my final film project at Cornish College of the Arts. I knew I wanted to make a fake 'educational' film and wasn't sure what to make the education about. I was advised to just 'make it up'. Filmed on Super 8, hand developed in the dark by submerging the film in developer and having a chat with another student who I have nothing in common with for an hour, then projected on a wall and filmed backwards with a digital camera.
